The Operant Engagement Satiation Study™ (OE-SS™) is an experimental arrangement designed to answer a longstanding empirical question:
How does repeated access to reinforcement affect a person’s willingness to continue engaging in the behavior that produces it?
Through the OperantChamber™ Participant App, eligible participants may complete structured digital engagement sessions, receive clearly disclosed reinforcement for qualifying participation, and contribute behavioral data to the continued study of engagement, persistence, reinforcement, and satiation.
Participation is voluntary.
As a participant, you will use the OperantChamber™ Participant App to complete individual ReinforcementLoop™ sessions.
Each session follows a structured sequence:
- You obtain or maintain the OperantCredit™ required to begin a session.
- You start a ReinforcementLoop™.
- You complete the presented engagement experience.
- You confirm completion using OperantSwipe™.
- Your completed session is recorded.
- Any applicable participant reinforcement is initiated according to the study’s current terms and system rules.
Each completed session contributes to your individual participation history and to the study’s broader behavioral measurement system.
The study uses two primary behavioral indicators:
Participant Satiation Index™
Your Participant Satiation Index™ (P-SI™) reflects your individual pattern of participation over time.
It may include measures such as:
- the number of ReinforcementLoop™ sessions you complete;
- the timing and frequency of your participation;
- changes in your rate of responding;
- continued engagement, pauses, returns, and discontinuation;
- patterns that may indicate persistence, reduced responding, or satiation.
Operant Satiation Index™
The Operant Satiation Index™ (O-SI™) examines participation at the platform level.
It aggregates qualifying study activity across participants to help identify broader patterns in engagement, reinforcement exposure, response persistence, and satiation.
The basic measurement relationship is:
Participant activity produces P-SI™ data. Aggregated P-SI™ data contributes to the O-SI™.
Qualifying participation may produce ReinforcementLoot™, the structured reinforcement unit associated with completed study activity.
Where applicable, the standard $5 ReinforcementLoot™ unit is composed of:
- $3 participant reimbursement associated with the OperantCredit™ expended for the completed session;
- $1 participant gratuity as a thank-you for contributing to the research;
- $1 preemptive data compensation reflecting an agreed-upon payment for the collection, use, and potential future value of qualifying participant data.
Eligibility, availability, processing times, participation limits, and payment conditions are governed by the current study terms presented inside the Participant App.
Participation does not guarantee unlimited sessions, continuous access, or a fixed amount of earnings.
You may be eligible to participate if you:
- meet the minimum age requirement presented during registration;
- are legally able to participate from your location;
- can provide a valid email address;
- can provide an eligible payout email when required;
- can understand and agree to the study disclosures;
- can independently operate the Participant App;
- agree to provide accurate registration and participation information;
- agree to follow the study’s rules, integrity requirements, and session procedures.
Additional eligibility requirements may apply based on participant level, jurisdiction, payment availability, or study phase.
Before beginning registration, please have access to:
- a reliable internet connection;
- a compatible phone, tablet, or computer;
- a valid personal email address;
- an eligible PayPal-associated payout email, where payouts are available;
- enough time to review the study acknowledgment and participation terms.
Your public participant username may be used within designated study interfaces. Your legal name, email address, payout information, and other private registration details are not intended to be displayed publicly.
Joining the study is entirely voluntary.
You may choose whether to register, whether to begin an available session, and whether to continue participating.
You may stop participating at any time. However, sessions that are incomplete, invalid, duplicated, manipulated, or not properly confirmed may not qualify for recording or reinforcement.
OperantChamber™ may also limit, pause, review, suspend, or discontinue participation when necessary to protect:
- participant safety;
- study integrity;
- system security;
- payment integrity;
- data quality;
- legal or regulatory compliance;
- the rights of other participants and study stakeholders.
The study may collect information related to:
- registration and eligibility;
- session starts and completions;
- timestamps and participation frequency;
- OperantCredit™ use;
- reinforcement eligibility and payment status;
- P-SI™ and O-SI™ measurements;
- device, system, integrity, and security events;
- acknowledgments, consent records, and account activity.
The study is designed to measure behavior within the OperantChamber™ environment. It is not intended to diagnose a medical, psychological, or behavioral condition.
Your participation helps create a longitudinal record of how reinforcement-driven engagement changes across repeated opportunities to respond.
Participants are expected to complete sessions honestly and independently.
The following may result in delayed reinforcement, invalidated sessions, account review, suspension, or removal from the study:
- automated or artificially generated participation;
- duplicate or unauthorized accounts;
- falsified identity or payout information;
- manipulation of session-completion systems;
- attempts to bypass OperantCredit™ requirements;
- coordinated exploitation or fraudulent activity;
- interference with study measurement, payment, or security systems.
Study safeguards are used to protect both participants and the validity of the research.
Registration is completed through a guided, step-by-step process.
You will be asked to:
- review the participant requirements;
- create your participant account;
- choose a participant username;
- provide the required identity and contact information;
- provide payout information, where applicable;
- create a secure password;
- review your account information;
- read and acknowledge the study disclosures;
- submit your registration.
After registration, you will be directed to the OperantChamber™ Participant App, where available study activities, balances, participation indicators, notices, and account tools can be accessed.
Before You Continue
By selecting Begin Registration, you confirm that:
- you are interested in being considered for participation;
- you understand that registration does not guarantee eligibility or uninterrupted access;
- you will provide accurate information;
- you will review all study disclosures before participating;
